Los Angeles based artist j.frede presents Gray Rooms, a collection of new works based on the Beat Generation. frede is a multi-disciplinary artist and this show represents his work in the photography, sound sculpture and print, following the conceptual boundaries set in reference to the location in which it’s being presented. Gray Rooms was put together as a tribute to the work of selected writers and artists from the Beat Generation. Exploring techniques used by the artists of that period, frede is creating new work that refrences the genre. From mysticism to literature, sex to murder, half a century later their works still seem forward thinking, as if waiting for us to catch up. more info here
